Weather station
Weather station is a device that allows us to monitor some weather conditions, such as temperature, air humidity or atmospheric pressure. Such a home weather station is the perfect solution for people tired of the unreliable weather forecast available on TV and the Internet. Thanks to it, we can follow biometeorological conditions at home. What's more, the analog version of the station is a beautiful decorative element that fits into the arrangements in the nautical, office, retro-vinatge or industrial style. It will also work on a yacht by informing about changes in atmospheric pressure, and thus about the upcoming weather changes. Depending on the model, our home weather stations contain individual instruments, such as: barometer, hygrometer, thermometer, or combine individual or all elements. Some of them are also equipped with clocks, thus creating very elegant but more importantly functional combinations. All our devices are manufactured by the recognized German brand Fisher, which is characterized by reliability and many years of tradition.
Barometer A barometer is a very precise device that measures air pressure. A long time has passed since the invention of the first liquid (mercury) barometer in the 17th century, but to this day pressure gauges are very popular, and we cannot imagine a weather forecast without mentioning atmospheric pressure. Despite the growing interest in electric barometers, their analog counterparts have loyal fans for whom the classics are always appreciated. Wooden barometers fit perfectly into office-style rooms, adding timeless elegance and style to them. They are a tasteful and, what is important, a useful interior decoration in a nautical and retro-vintage style. Metal barometers, on the other hand, perfectly fit a modern, industrial loft or a yacht cabin Our offer includes home barometers of the renowned German brand Fisher, which has been creating the best quality blood pressure monitors, hygrometers and thermometers since the 1940s. Spring barometer One of the most frequently bought and available in our offer types of analog barometers is the spring barometer. This type of blood pressure monitor is often used on yachts and pleasure boats as a practical instrument for announcing changes in the weather. It is also perfect as a room barometer, which decorates walls by indicating pressure drops and increases. How does a spring barometer work? To measure air pressure, a spring barometer uses an aneroid, i.e. a sensor, the main part of which is a vacuum membrane can, called the Vidi's can from its creator. The box is covered with a tight and corrugated surface to which a spring with a pointer is attached. The walls of this can widen or narrow by hundredths of a millimeter depending on changing air pressure. This in turn causes the pointer to move against the background of the scale, thanks to which we can read the current value of the atmospheric pressure.
Hygrometer A hygrometer is a device that measures the air humidity in the environment. The history of the hygrometer goes back to the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, when Leonardo da Vinci, using a ball of wool and scales, constructed the first device indicating changes in humidity. Both the right temperature and air humidity affect our well-being and health, so we should take care of their appropriate levels. Too high humidity can lead to the multiplication of fungi, mold or mites. On the other hand, too low moisture content in the air causes drying of the cornea of the eyes, mucous membranes of the respiratory system and skin. The optimal humidity for humans fluctuates between 30-60%, so we should observe the conditions in the house, especially in winter, when the humidity drops to 20% due to the turned on heaters. Hair hygrometer Today, one of the most frequently used devices for measuring air humidity is a hair hygrometer. It is based on a very simple mechanism consisting of a hair fiber or synthetic material and a pointer. Under the influence of water absorption, the hair fiber changes its length, which affects the movement of the pointer along the dial from which we read the current measurement result. This type of moisture meter can be used at home. In combination with a barometer, thermometer or clock, it is an extremely useful gadget, thanks to which we can have our home microclimate under control.
Room thermometer Thanks to the thermometer, we can monitor the temperature in the house and keep it at the right level. This is important because the right temperature has an impact on our health. The ideal temperature for us is between 18-22 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, the best sleeping temperature should be a bit lower and ideally should be around 16-19 degrees.
