Decorative Sextant on Wooden Base - NSOB
Decorative sextant is an ornament in astronavigation style, which will be appreciated by adepts of sailing and astronomy. Sextans are used to measure angles and heights of celestial bodies above the horizon. When GPS fails, sailors and mariners turn to this astronavigational instrument.
Sextant is one of the inventions that revolutionized sailing, so it will work well as a nautical gift for a fan of sea travel. This sextant serves a decorative function. It sits on a wooden base with a decorative anchor. It will look great on a mantelpiece, dresser or desk in colonial, english and retro rooms.
