History of STS Fryderyk Chopin:

STS Fryderyk Chopin is a Polish training sailboat that belonged to the fleet of the Maritime Academy in Gdynia. The sailboat was designed by the famous Polish yacht designer, Wacław Serżant. It was launched in 1992 in Gdańsk. Its construction was aimed at creating a vessel that would allow training of young adepts of sailing art in the spirit of tradition, but also in a modern way. In June 2011, the European School of Law and Administration in Warsaw sold the sailing ship to 3Oceans, a company associated with Piotr Kulczycki. After renovating the vessel and paying a deposit to secure potential claims related to the lawsuit pending with Nova Speero, the new owner took delivery of the ship in June 2011 in the port of Falmouth. In 2012, the STS Fryderyk Chopin, commanded by Capt. Tomasz Ostrowski, won the Tall Ship’s Races 2012
