Judge's Gavel - WH170
Traditional judge's gavel is an attribute of a judge that can decorate a judge's office or a chancellery. The Judge's gavel is great as a gift for a judge and a law student.
Gavels were used in courtrooms in the times of the Second Polish Republic and the interwar period. They are back in court today. Gavels were used to silence the participants in the proceedings or the public. After World War II they were no longer used, but gavels returned to courtrooms in 2008. In the American judiciary, they are also used to start and end proceedings.
The judge's gavel and stand are made of wood. Lacquered.
