Sundial Compass in Wooden Box – SUN-0105B
Sundial with Compass for the fan of expeditions into the unknown. It will help determine the local time, facilitate orientation in the field and map reading. It can be used as an original paperweight.
Upper part of the case is a clock face with a raised gnomon. On the dial there are Roman numerals indicating the hours. To read the local time lift the gnomon and place the clock in a sunny place so that the 12 o'clock line coincides with the meridian line. Gnomon casts a shadow on the current local time, which may differ from the official time.
Underneath the clock is a compass with engraved wind rose, scale and magnetic needle. The item, complete with wooden box, is suitable as a travel gift for the globetrotter.
