Brass Sundial with Compass in Wooden Box – NC1501

Brass Sundial with Compass in Wooden Box – NC1501

Compass with Sundial is a navigation instrument that will come in handy in the field. It will indicate the north direction and the local time. Compass will prove to be a functional gadget for a traveler, survivalist and sailor. It will serve both in nature and at home as an elegant decoration in a globetrotting climate.

Upper part of the instrument is a sundial. Thanks to it you can set the local time. Roman numerals on the dial indicate the hours. To determine the time lift the gnomon and place the sundial in a sunny location so that the 12 o'clock line coincides with the meridian line. Gnomon will cast a shadow on the current time, which may differ from the official time.

Compass is placed under the clock. Needle of the compass will point north, which will make it easier to orient yourself in the field and set the azimuth. Compass is packed in a wooden box - perfect for a gift.
