Spherical astrolabe with compass 4010
Astrolabe is one of the most important astronavigation instruments that has been used from ancient times to the 16th century. Astrolabes were used for many complex observations and calculations, including determining the position of celestial bodies above the horizon and determining your own position.
At the time of its greatest popularity, astrolabes took on extremely sophisticated forms that decorated royal courts and houses of scholars.
The astrolabe is a symbol of human pursuits to understand the universe, which is why it will work as a gift for a scientist, space lover, and astrophysicist.
The astrolabe is placed on a wooden base, on which a compass can be found as well.
